Daily Devotion!!

Psalm 46:5 Be blessed Today !!! With Lord within you who can stop you!
Also go check out my post Redefining Yourself in Gods Eyes!

How to Redefine Yourself into what God sees You As

Saved from ruffledblog.com

" So God created human beings in his own image, in the image of God he created them: male and female he created them".
Genesis 1:27

Many times I am very critical of myself. I look at every single detail of myself physical and mental. This could be very tiring and ultimately ruins my night being so critical. It gives me anxiety and sometimes it makes me think about just not being here on this earth anymore. I know this only the devil that is trying to get to me. I had to first give you an insight why I wanted to write this post because through this struggle that I am finding ways to deal with it. I hope this strategy also helps anyone that reads this post too.

1. So how do you redefine yourself. A thing that I love to do is write in my journal. I pray through writing it helps so much because sometimes its hard to say it out loud. The Lord wants to talk to you anyway possible. I will do a post on the power of journaling can really help strengthen your walk with the Lord. Ask the Lord to let you see yourself as what He sees you as.

" Rejoice always, Pray Continually, Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus"
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

2. Stay in the Word of God. I talked to my mentor the other day about what I'm going through at the moment. She said " The devil is trying sift us Christians like wheat". So we have to know we are in Christ by reading the bible. Sometimes life is hectic, but I encourage everyone to just at least read a daily bible verse. I promise everything helps.

" And the Lord said, Simon  Simon, behold, Satan desires to have you, that he may sift you as  wheat: But I have prayed for you, that your faith fail not: and when you are converted, you will strengthen your fellow believers.  Luke 22:31

3. Make sure you have a supportive Christian backing. It could be anyone. I hope you could consider me as your sister in Christ. Everyone needs the body of Christ around them. They are there to encourage, pray, and love on you. The Lord did not want us to walk this journey alone.

" So that there are may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another. And if one members  suffer with it; if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.".  1 Corinthians 12:25-26

Today I pray that each person finds their identity in Christ. I pray that they stay steadfast fast to his word. I pray that they keep connected with you through pray. Lastly, I pray that everyone keeps connected in the body of Christ because everyone needs love and encouragement to keep on fighting in this world. In Jesus name. Amen.

What type of Love do You need Today? Series

Looking for love in all the wrong places ? I know from personal experience. When the wrong places fail to complete you try to find the best shoe that fits. Well I know a perfect prince charming with the perfect size shoe. The one that will not leave you half full.

" Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone loves has been born of God and knows God". 1 John 4:7

Sometimes it is  hard to define the type of love that the Lord gives us. Well the Lord states what love is.

" This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brother".           1 John 3:16

Christ gave us eternal life. He bridged the gap between us and the Lord. He says to never leave nor for sake you. If you just accept him into your heart you get all of his love. The type of love that is unconditional. Love him with all your heart first before looking for love elsewhere because with him you will be complete.

Jesus replied " Love the Lord with all your heart and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment."
Mathew 22: 37-38

Today as I write I decided to leave prayer that will start off the series. May God bless you and have a wonderful day!

Prayer: Lord I thank you for this day because it was not promised. Please keep everyone safe and in good health. I thank you for loving us unconditionally. Lord let people come to you first for love, before seeking it elsewhere. They will feel complete turning towards you. If anyone has not accepted you in their heart, let them ultimately accept you today. May you provide blessings for all. In Jesus Name.  Amen

Blurring the background of a photograph tutorial

1. Make sure your camera is in raw
2. I have a nikon D3200 so with this select A for aperture so you gain access to adjusting the aperture.
3. Adjust aperture to the lowest possible for lens. So for when the camera lens is at 18 zoom it can go to 3.5 aperture.
4. Distance is a a key factor. I normally stand pretty close to my subject. I can say around 2 feet.
5. Practice!

Hope this tutorial helped! Leave comments below!

Love how this verse says " in its time". This word choice means that everything  will not always  look all  great at first look but, over time it will become magnificent. A great comparison is your walk, it will grow into a great and strong relationship.May God bless you and have a great day!

Hair Growth Vitamin Regimen

I was diagnosed with mild alopecia my freshmen year of high school. I had three bald spots and very thin hair. I wanted to strengthen and grow my hair faster because after two years my hair was still thin. So, this March I started taking vitamins because for hair growth. I take biotin because it helps with hair, skin, and nails. I also take the multivitamin because it has vitamin C, D, E, Folate, b12, and many more l. I didn't want to take a handful of pills everyday so I decided on a multivitamin. So far it has been great. I would definitely recommend this vitamin regiment. I will be showing my hair progress. A great tip is to drink a lot of water when taking them because it cleanses your body from toxins because you do not want to break out. Please comment on some other vitamin regimens that work  great. Try vitamins you will begin to love them.

Family is a big portion of my life. I spend most of time with them. I will be taIking about them pretty frequently actually. Here is just a little description my family. I come from a two parent household, and I have one sister that is in her junior year of college. Additionally, I also have an adorable dog named Colby. Since its Father's Day what better day to talk about the one of the people that I love. My Dad is a preacher. He also is very involved with the youth ministry. I aspire to be more like him because of his gentle and funny nature he has with everyone he encounters. He always pushes me to be the best person I can be. My Dad has lots of faith, lots of love, and many aspirations for everyone. May God bless! Happy Father's Day to all of the dads out there.

Great tips for Beginner Photographers

I purchased my camera almost a month ago. In the last month I have learned so much on how to work it. Here are some tips on taking some great photos for what I have learned.

1. Take lots of Photos
Go to a great spot that is scenic and take lots of pictures. Bring your family or friends. Have fun with it. It's a lot of trial and error.

 Shoot in Raw
Shooting in Raw gives a better photo quality. Also you have control of all of your settings on your camera. You are maximizing your picture quality.

Aperture is a big deal
If you want to take professional pictures. Changing your aperture for your lighting situation.

Watch an Informational video
I watched a video over my model of the Nikon d3200. It was an hour long but it was worth my time. I learned all the functions of the buttons on the camera, and how to work my camera. Here is the link of the video he is a great teacher.
Here is what is in my camera bag

On the left is my double zoom lens 55-200. Right is my Nikon d3200 camera. Then I have an old vintage flash that my dad gave me. I always keep my camera charger with me. Another great tool in jace is a wifi adapter. It lets me see and download my photos to my phone really easy with the Nikon app
I will be sharing many photos and tutorials on what I learn for taking great photos!

Bethel Music

I found this church band last summer and I fell in love with them. There music is so great and encouraging. Here are some of my favorites. They also have some great spontaneous worship.

How is Your Walk? How to strengthen your walk with Christ

I am Christian and unashamed. One great question that I get asked a lot is  how is your walk? Why one may ask? A Christian should be living and walking like Jesus.

"Whoever claims to live in Him must live as Jesus did ".1 John 2:6

How to build a strong walk with the Lord!
1. Prayer Works
Prayer is such an essential to your walk with the Lord.  I pray in the morning and it really helps me. I tell the Lord to be with me throughout my whole day. Ultimately my day is so much better when I pray. Also, when praying your talking to God. God is your Heavenly Father and He wants to talk to you.
" Don't worry about anything instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need. and thank him for all he has done". Philippians 4:6
2. The Word of God

Sometimes the bible looks overwhelming but there are so many resources to help you to read and understand the bible. Reading the word of God will strengthen your walk. To be firm in the Lord one must be fed from the spiritual Father. Start off with five minutes a day with a devotional that is bible focused and go from there. After a while your body will yearn for more and more of the bible.

" So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ".
 Romans 10:17

3. Going to Church and Bible Study
Being around believers is encouraging. Hearing encouraging sermons jump starts your week. There are many different church's at various times of the day. Some church service's are short and some are a  little lengthy. I attend a traditional black baptist church. Being around the body of Christ helps you keep accountable with your walk with Christ. Find a church that is best for you and join. It will be the best decision of your life.
" For where two or three are gathered in my name, there I am among them".
Mathew 18:20

I hoped I gave some encouraing tips on having a strong walk with the Lord. Please leave comments below on any questions below. God Bless!

What really calms be down is this verse that says about  tomorrow and how it already has enough problems of its own, so why worry. In this picture I just embraced the day not even thinking about anything else. It was wonderful I challenge everyone to embrace each day.

Top Places to take Photos in Houston

Now these days most people want a scenic background for their photos when they tour a city. While I was in Houston today I found out they have some great places to take photos.
1. Houston Mural
This was the first time I have been to this mural which is crazy because I have lived in Houston all of my life. I guess this was the first time I did tourist activities in Houston. The only reason why I did it was because some friends came down from different states that wanted to see Houston. The Houston mural is my number one because it is great eye candy. Gives me inspiration every time I look at it.
2. William Waterwall
This is right by the famous Houston Galleria. Why not kill two birds in one stone. Get some great shopping in as take some great photos that will be memories for a lifetime. It also has a  purpose of cooling your body because the Houston humidity and temperature is no joke. Here is a picture of me embracing the Waterwall.
3. William Waterwall Park
This is actually right before you get to the Waterwall. It has great landscape to take amazing individual and group portraits. Here is a collage of how this landscape can be used in so many ways
4. Downtown Houston Shrub Cube
Across the street from the Houston mural. Great place to take individual portraits because the beautiful natural background.
I will post a flip gram of the full day of taking great photos in the magnificent city of Houston that I call my home.
