How is Your Walk? How to strengthen your walk with Christ

I am Christian and unashamed. One great question that I get asked a lot is  how is your walk? Why one may ask? A Christian should be living and walking like Jesus.

"Whoever claims to live in Him must live as Jesus did ".1 John 2:6

How to build a strong walk with the Lord!
1. Prayer Works
Prayer is such an essential to your walk with the Lord.  I pray in the morning and it really helps me. I tell the Lord to be with me throughout my whole day. Ultimately my day is so much better when I pray. Also, when praying your talking to God. God is your Heavenly Father and He wants to talk to you.
" Don't worry about anything instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need. and thank him for all he has done". Philippians 4:6
2. The Word of God

Sometimes the bible looks overwhelming but there are so many resources to help you to read and understand the bible. Reading the word of God will strengthen your walk. To be firm in the Lord one must be fed from the spiritual Father. Start off with five minutes a day with a devotional that is bible focused and go from there. After a while your body will yearn for more and more of the bible.

" So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ".
 Romans 10:17

3. Going to Church and Bible Study
Being around believers is encouraging. Hearing encouraging sermons jump starts your week. There are many different church's at various times of the day. Some church service's are short and some are a  little lengthy. I attend a traditional black baptist church. Being around the body of Christ helps you keep accountable with your walk with Christ. Find a church that is best for you and join. It will be the best decision of your life.
" For where two or three are gathered in my name, there I am among them".
Mathew 18:20

I hoped I gave some encouraing tips on having a strong walk with the Lord. Please leave comments below on any questions below. God Bless!
